Did you know about this temple dedicated to Amitabh Bachchan?

Next time, when you plan a trip to Kolkata -- do visit the temple

There is of course a reason behind Amitabh Bachchan is known as the superstar of the millennium. He has achieved stardom after working for almost 5 decades. He was the first Asian to have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds museum and has got real crazy fans. And the Shahenshah of Bollywood has always acknowledged his fans. Even at the age of 74, he continues to entertain both big and small screens. He has millions of fans and they are real crazy ones.

In case you don’t know — there is a temple dedicated to Mr Bachchan. No kidding! His fans in Kolkata have constructed a temple for him. The walls of the temple are inscribed with the words ‘Jai Shri Amitabh‘. They even sing a customised aarti for Big B. The temple has his shoes, he wore in Agneepath, kept on the chair, which was used in Aks. Isn’t it crazy?

However, this is not the first time we saw crazy fans of AB. While Big B was hospitalised, a samosa vendor who used to sell samosas outside a single-screen theatre, prayed hard for his recovery. This is not something strange. Right? But what he did after Amitabh got discharged needs a special mention. He went up to Big B with a truck full of samosas and asked him to touch it once. After the Pink star touched those samosas, he distributed them as prasad to the fans.

Though these were sweet fans, here comes a scary one. So a female fan of Bachchan insisted on meeting him. She came to the city along with her daughter and kept lurking around the superstar’s house. She even threatened to commit suicide and wanted to be employed by him, so that she could live under the same roof.

Not only he has crazy desi fans, but his videsi ones are fanatical too. A fan from Moldova waited 27 years to meet him and when she did, she came with 27 roses and loads of gifts. The humble actor was overwhelmed by this gesture.
