Dhruva Box Office: Ram Charan's film had a good second weekend, inching towards Rs 100 crore

Here's the entire Box Office collection breakup of Ram Charan's Dhruva. The film is doing well both in domestic market as well as in overseas.

Ram Charan starrer Dhruva continued to do a good business at the Box Office even in its second weekend. The action entertainer, which had released on 8 December 2016 was unaffected by the release of new Telugu film, Nanna Nenu Na Boyfriends at the Box Office. InUth had previously reported that Dhruva has minted Rs 59 crore worldwide in its opening week itself.

And the film has refused to slow down in its second week as well. The Ram Charan starrer has minted Rs 16 crore worldwide in its second weekend at the Box Office. The total collection of Dhruva now stands at a whopping Rs 75. 25 crore at the Box Office worldwide.

Dhruva’s domestic Box Office breakup

Dhruva has performed exceedingly well in almost all circuits of India with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana top the most. The Surrender Reddy directorial has so far grossed nearly Rs 50 crore at AP-Telangana regions. Dhruva has raked in Rs 11 crore in Karnataka and Rs 3 crore from the rest of India.

Dhruva’s overseas business breakup

The film is rock steady overseas as well. At the US Box Office, the Magadheera actor’s film has already minted Rs 8. 50 crore and is all set to cross Rs 10 crore mark soon. The film has added another Rs 2. 75 crore from the remaining parts of the world.

What has worked in the favour of the film?

Dhruva has been praised for its brilliant script, stylish action and the performances of the cast, especially Arvind Swamy, who has reprised his role of the antagonist from Telugu film — Thani Oruvan. Ram Charan has portrayed Jayam Ravi’s role while Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead which was played by Nayanthara in its original.

With Dhruva, Ram Charan will be looking for his second Rs 100 crore grosser at the Box Office worldwide. His first Rs 100 crore grosser, Magadheera was released in 2009 and grossed Rs 151 crore worldwide.

The original version of Dhruva, Thani Oruvan was also a Box Office success.
