A few days ago a video of a child crying and begging to not beat her while teaching went viral. The way the child was being taught prompted reactions from the likes of Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. The cricketers said that it was nothing but torture and it should be stopped. As it turns out the baby is the niece of singers Sharib and Toshi Sabri. Her name is Haya and she is three years old. Referring to the entire ruckus created after the video went viral, Toshi said that no one knows their children better than them and people should refrain from judging the family.
“Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan don’t know about us. Hamare bachche ke bare mein humein pata hai naah ki hamara bacha kaisa hai! Uska nature hai waisa… Agle hi pal woh khelne chali jaati hai. Agar aap usko chod do toh woh kahengi main mazzak kar rahi thi. Uske nature ki wajah se chod denge toh woh padai bhi nahi kar paayengi. (We know about our child better. Haya’s nature is such that after being scolded, the next minute she runs off to play. But, because of her nature if we don’t push her, she won’t study),” Toshi was quoted by the daily.
Talking about the fact the video went viral, Toshi said it was not meant to be. He added the video was made to show it to family members to assert how stubborn she has become.
Toshi said the child was stubborn and it was important she paid attention to studies. “All the crying was for that moment so that her mother doesn’t make her study and let her play. Haya is just about 3 years old. In every house, there is are different kinds of children. Ours is a very stubborn child but is extremely dear to us,” he said.

“One can’t judge a mother’s love for the child by seeing a short video. If children throw tantrums, then should we stop teaching them? It’s not easy to raise children,” Toshi went on.
