And the good news is: all the four films have done remarkably well at the Chennai Box Office.

1) Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva

Raghava Lawrence’s Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva had an impressive opening weekend at the Chennai Box Office. Though the film opened to negative reviews from the critics, it didn’t affect the film’s collections at the Box Office. Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva had 310 shows across the Chennai city and has collected Rs 1.62 crore from its three-theatrical days. The action-entertainer, a remake of the 2005 blockbuster Pataas, stars Nikki Galrani in the female lead.

Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the surprise entrant at the Chennai Box Office this week. The romantic entertainer had nearly 115 shows on its opening weekend and has minted Rs 25 lakh at the Chennai Box Office, which is good considering for a non-Bollywood superstar film in the South Indian state. Badrinath Ki Dulhania also overpowered the collections of new Friday release, Maanagaram at the Chennai Box Office.

4) Kuttram 23

Kuttram 23 continued its terrific collections on its second weekend as well. The crime-thriller was unaffected by the new releases and was rock steady at the Chennai Box Office by raking in more than Rs 24 lakh from 120 shows on its opening weekend. By the end of its 10-day theatrical release, Kuttram 23 has grossed a good Rs 1.50 crore to become a clean hit at the Chennai Box Office.

5) Maanagaram

Maanagaram had an average opening weekend at the Chennai Box Office despite getting rave reviews from the critics. The thriller, which had starred Sundeep Kishan, Sri, Regina Cassandra in lead roles has collected an average Rs 17 lakh from 88 shows on its opening weekend at the Chennai Box Office.
