Chitrangada has been off-screen for quite a while now. Her last on screen outing in a full fledged roles remains I, Me Aur Main where she shared screen space with John Abraham. Since then, the gorgeous lady is only seen doing special appearances in films. The Inkaar actress had already started some workshops to get into the skin of her character. The actress has reportedly started learning to play various folk instruments.
Band of Maharajas is set to release in 2017 and its shooting will begin next month in Shri Ganganagar. The film is produced by Wave Cinemas.
Earlier, the Desi Boyz star had to leave a film mid-way due to a feud with the film’s director. It was reported that Chitrangada was upset with the comments director Kushan Nandy made on the sets of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz. The actress quit the film and stated that she could not stand Nandy’s offensive comment: “Tange ragdo and sex karo.”
The director however, denied the reports and claimed that he didn’t ask Chitrangada to do anything against her nod for the film.
