Vivek Oberoi Tried To Tastelessly Troll Aishwarya Rai But Twitter Gave It Back To Him

Vivek Oberoi has always claimed himself to be a champion of chivalry, except when he compared Aishwarya Rai to 'Tupperware plastic' without naming her.

Vivek Oberoi, who was in news after the release of his film PM Narendra Modi was stalled last month, is back in news. And that’s because he shared a meme about Aishwarya Rai. Their brief relationship, that began around the time of that infamous press conference in 2003, is well documented. The meme shows Aishwarya Rai’s picture with Salman Khan termed ‘opinion poll’, Rai’s picture with Oberoi termed ‘exit poll’ and Rai’s picture with husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya.

Apparently ‘humour’ for Oberoi, this terrible meme makes a joke at the expense of Aishwarya Rai’s past and current relationships. Rai’s relationships with Salman Khan, Vivek Oberoi and then Abhishek Bachchan being dug up for an empty laugh is absolutely unfortunate. For Oberoi to make the actual effort to share a joke from his own account, that even involves a minor, it’s hardly surprising that he’s getting a lot of flak for it.

Oberoi has always maintained himself to be a champion for chivalry, and always claimed to have conducted himself as a ‘thorough gentleman’. Except when Oberoi compared Aishwarya Rai to ‘Tupperware plastic’ on Farah Khan’s chat show, Tere Mere Beech Mein. Oberoi did this without naming Aishwarya Rai obviously, but it shows his scant respect for his former partner. This meme is just another instance of Oberoi’s lack of manners, especially when Aishwarya Rai has maintained a dignified silence about him.

It must be noted that Oberoi’s film is now scheduled to come out this Friday.
