The teaser of Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight was unveiled with much fanfare on May 5. The superstar’s fans cheered as the two-minute long video created a lot of buzz on social media. The promo of the Kabir Khan directorial became the first teaser ever to cross 10 million views on YouTube within 48 hours. Now that’s really phenomenal. Besides this, the teaser raked in 1 lakh likes within 15 hours. Salman’s look in the 1962 war drama has got a thumbs up from his fans, who hope that their favourite actor will make this Eid very special for them.
Since Wanted, no Bollywood star has experienced a phenomenal box office success as Salman. The 51-year-old actor’s films are keenly awaited as his peers avoid box office clashes with him. For example, Shah Rukh Khan delayed his gangster-drama Raees to avoid a clash with Sultan.
Talking about views, Tubelight has raked in more than 14 million visitors in just 3 days. On the other hand, Sultan took 6 days to reach 10 million views. Both the teasers of the film also starring Anushka Sharma had raked in a grand total of 30 million views. We are sure that Tubelight’s teaser might cross this benchmark in days to come. Contrary to this, Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s teaser earned a little more than 1 million views. It is another fact that the film turned out to be a blockbuster. Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees has an overall viewership of 23 million on its first teaser which released in 2015.
