These celebs beat Shahid Kapoor and Sunny Leone to become PETA's Hottest Vegetarians of 2017

Last year, Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor were named as PETA's Hottest Vegetarians

In October this year, PETA ran a poll to decide who were the Hottest Vegetarians of 2017. And the winners of the competition are actors Rajkummar Rao and Alia Bhatt.

Alia Bhatt turned vegetarian in 2015 following the footsteps of her father Mahesh Bhatt who has been a vegetarian for several years. She said she preferred having vegetarian food as it was a way to leading a healthy life.

Rao’s co-star Ayushmann Khurrana stated that the actor doesn’t have any bad habits, as he “doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t have non-vegetarian”.

He added,

Both of PETA’s winners prove that there’s nothing sexier than compassion towards animals, which these celebrities show every time that they sit down for a meal.

Other celebrities who couldn’t make it to the finals, include Amitabh Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, Sunny Leone, Vidyut Jammwal, R Madhavan, Kangana Ranaut and Sridevi.
