Sunny Leone Is No Longer The 'Most Googled Indian Celebrity'. This Woman Is

Sunny Leone was dethroned as the most searched celebrity on Google after four consecutive years.

After her wink went ‘viral’ (like it happens these days), Priya Prakash Varrier became an overnight celebrity. In a clip from her film Oru Adaar Love, Varrier is seen enacting the filmy expression of ankhiyon se goli maare – something expected of our ‘leading ladies’, no matter which part of India they may be in. And hence, it is no surprise that she has toppled Sunny Leone to become Google’s most searched celebrity in 2018.

The two men on this year’s list are Nick Jonas and Anand Ahuja, the recently-wed shauhars of Priyanka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor respectively. Chopra stands two positions behind her now-husband on the list. Their wedding #NickYanka surely generated a good amount of interest on social media.

The mainstay on the list happens to be Sapna Choudhary – a Bhojpuri actor/dancer. Popular for of her song Teri Aakhya Ka Yo Kajal, she appeared in last year’s list too and that too in the same position (third). While 2018’s list has the two men from the high-profile weddings, it is interesting to note that last year’s list only comprised women.

Bigg Boss celebrity Arshi Khan was second on last year’s list, behind Sunny Leone. YouTube sensation Vidya Vox, who covers Hindi & English songs with mash-ups, was number four on the list. Bollywood actor and Instagram personality, Disha Patani was number five on the list. Rumoured to be dating another fitness freak/Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, both Patani and her rumoured beau routinely put up pictures that get of a lot of interest.
