Sonam Kapoor is primarily known for two things – her impeccable fashion and her fearless attitude when it comes to calling a spade a spade. Recently, a blind item published by an entertainment portal reported that Veere Di Wedding was wrapped up two days ahead of the schedule because of an apparent catfight on the sets.
After Sonam learnt of the blind item, she took to social media to snub the callous article saying ‘Please keep in mind how outdated, irresponsible and harmful your narrative is’. The Neerja actress took to Facebook and shared a post against the news daily which reported catfights on the set of Veere Di Wedding.
Her Facebook post read:
“Dear website, you can put as many as blind items’ (aka gossip that were too lazy to fact check) as you like pitting women against each other, it may get you click but won’t be the truth. Must you insist on shoving this tired patriarchial concept on women cat fighting into our films (which is not about road trip) as if grown, intelligent women have nothing better to do.”
