Simran song Meet: Arijit Singh's voice lends soul to Kangana Ranaut's story

Kangana Ranaut’s movie Simran is one of the highly awaited movies of this year. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film is the story of a kleptomaniac Praful Patel and her journey. A romantic number of the film titled Meet released a short while ago, which is crooned by Arijit Singh. The song is soulful and its chances of becoming a hit are high.

The lyrics of this soulful number is penned by Priya Saraiya. The song showcases Praful Patel’s life giving a lot of attention to her dating a spree. A divorcee, Praful dates many men in the video and from the trailer we know, she also says this, “Are you tired because you are running in my mind.” Meet talks about the quest of Praful to find love and it is what makes this song beautiful.

Simran marks the first association of Kangana Ranaut and Hansal Mehta. The trailer showed Kangana as a free spirited woman who lives life on her terms. She did not hold back while discussing her want to steal things from the man she was dating. The trailer of the film got rave reviews from cine buffs and almost everyone is waiting for the film’s release on September 18.

At the trailer launch, Kangana Ranaut also spoke about the writer credit row. She had said,

First of all, I want to make it clear that there are no dues pending. Somehow people make it look like Apurva has not be given his credit, that is not true. We made the contract exactly the way he wanted it to be, in fact, Apurva is the one who suggested me to take an additional credit for dialogue writing. So we made the contract that way
