Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput opens up on her 'puppy' remark, says 'I don't know how to be politically correct'

Earlier, Mira Rajput remained tight-lipped about the whole puppy remark controversy, while hubby Shahid Kapoor came out in her support

Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput is making headlines these days for all the wrong reasons. Earlier, her puppy remark at an event on International Women’s Day raised many eyebrows. And recently, the star wife landed herself in trouble with the traffic police in Mumbai for parking her car in a ‘no-parking zone’.

Mira Rajput was slammed by many for her working women and puppy remark and even her former classmate wrote an open letter calling her idea of feminism as extremely flawed. While Mira remained tight-lipped about the whole controversy, hubby Shahid Kapoor came out in her support and said that she had no intention to hurt anyone.

And now, in an interview with Bombay Times, Mira finally opened about the issue and said that her intentions were not to hurt anybody and that she was just speaking her mind. She further added: ”Could I have chosen my words better? Maybe. But I am not a seasoned actor and I don’t know how to be politically correct. I was speaking for a section of women who aren’t given their due.”

Well, it clearly looks like Mira stands by what she said and has made her point very clear. In fact, it is also being said that the star wife is all set to make her acting debut along with daughter Misha. If rumours are to be believed, Mira Rajput is getting a lot of TV commercial offers to promote several baby products and maternity brands. And if everything goes well, we might get to see Misha and mommy Mira on the big screen really soon.

Mira, who was once considered as the shy star wife, made her on-screen debut with Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan and since then, there has been no looking back for her.
