All the speculations regarding the leading ladies of Shah Rukh Khan’s next with Anand L Rai have been put to rest with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma coming on board for the project. The trio who was earlier seen in Yash Chopra’s last directorial Jab Tak Hai Jaan, is all set to come together once again for this ambitious project that will feature SRK as a dwarf. Names of actresses like Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt were doing the rounds for the project but in the end its Katrina and Anushka who bagged the parts.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to make the big announcement. He wrote, “It’s #OFFICIAL: SRK, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in Aanand L Rai’s next… Produced by Red Chillies Ent and Colour Yellow Prod.” The news has certainly come as a rejoice to all the fans as they will once again get to see Shah Rukh Khan sharing screen space with Katrina and Anushka.

The film will be the fourth outing together for SRK and Anushka after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming project. Whereas, SRK and Katrina will be coming together for the second time after JTHJ.

This is a yet another major project to have landed in Katrina’s kitty. She already has Tiger Zinda Hai with Salman Khan and Thugs of Hindostan alongside Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. These films are expected to give the much-needed boost to Kat’s career whose last few films have tanked at the box office.
For SRK, who has been experimenting with his roles lately, this film comes as a yet another challenge. From getting his look right as a dwarf to convincing the audience that he is one, King Khan would certainly not have it easy in the project. Also, Vfx will have a huge role to play for the film to pan out correctly.
To be backed by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions, the film is yet to have a title and is slated to release by the end of 2018.
