Ram Gopal Varma heaped praises on Riteish Deshmukh for making a movie on Chattrapati Shivaji. The filmmaker said this movie would be bigger than Baahubali

Ram Gopal Varma is known to land to headlines from his Twitter timeline. The filmmaker doesn’t mince his words on the social media platform and he has done it again This time though, RGV has praised Riteish Deshmukh and applauded him for making a movie on Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji. However, RGV also took a jibe at the blockbuster movie Baahubali: The Conclusion.

Taking to the micro-blogging website, RGV confirmed the news that Riteish will be making a movie on Shivaji. For long now, there have been various speculations about the actor making a movie on the brave warrior. But RGV’s tweet has confirmed the speculations about the movie being made.

Heaping praises on Riteish, RGV tweeted “Shivaji’s story has more heroism and drama than Bahubali nd he was real unlike Bahubali which will make it a more thrilling experience.” In yet another tweet, the filmmaker wrote, “Am sure Riteish is doing Shivaji at this large scale only for it to become ultimate pride of Maharashtra like Bahubali for Andhra Pradesh.”

The series of tweets of RGV hint that he wants the movie to be as grand as  Baahubali. It also points out that he is not a great fan of the movie that has made everyone proud. Check out his tweets here:

Now that Ram Gopal Varma has pitted Baahubali and Riteish Deshmukh’s project against each other, comparisons between the two would obviously be drawn. More so, since SS Rajamouli’s movie has set the benchmark so high that coping up with it will be a tough task for many. It is now awaited to be seen if the mega project of Riteish Deshmukh scripts history or fails to leave a mark. Let us wait for more details to know who will be playing the titular role in this movie.
