The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees is all over the internet and is going viral like mad fire since its launch. People around the world are going crazy about Raees Alam’s character of a wicked bootlegger in the film. The trailer was released on December 7 and for the entire day it was trending with #RaeesTrailer on Twitter and managed to garner more than 12 million views on YouTube in just one day.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees is set in the backdrop of Gujarat in the 80s and also marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. The film will be released on January 25 next year.
The 2.46-minute trailer also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is playing the role of a cop in the film and the actor has simply nailed it with his incredible acting skills. There is also a glimpse of Sunny Leone, who will make you groove to the beats of Zeenat Aman’s hit number Laila O Laila.
Earlier scheduled to release on July 6 with Salman Khan’s Sultan, Shah Rukh changed the date to avoid the clash and Sultan ruled the Box Office like a boss. Though the trailer of both the films was highly applauded by the people, SRK’s Raees is way ahead of Salman’s Sultan when it comes to YouTube views.
The Rahul Dholakia directorial has collected more than 12 million views in 24 hours. This is almost four times the number of views the trailer of Sultan garnered within 24 hours of its release. The trailer of Salman Khan’s Eid blockbuster had recorded over 5 million views in 24 hours on YouTube.
