It is peppy, full of colours and has Diljit Dosanjh lending his voice. We are talking about the latest song Naughty Billo from the upcoming film Phillauri. For all those who thought the film hasn’t exploited Diljit singing talents, this song proves their assumptions wrong. Apart from Diljit, the song also has vocals from Nakash Aziz and Shilpi Paul.
What makes this song extremely special for the film is the fact that Anushka Sharma has done rapping for this one. The lyrics have been penned down by Anvita Dutt and music scored by Shaswat Sachdeva.

Anushka Sharma released Naughty Billo on social media a short while ago. The video of the song started by showing the bygone era of Anushka and Diljit’s love story. Soon enough, they time travelled to ditch the old avatar and embrace the new one. The actors of the film including Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada can be seen all jazzed up in the song. The shiny clothes and loud accessories perfectly fit into the disco background in which the song is set.

However, the first impression of the song is not that good. It oscillates from being high on beats to losing the energy in a matter of seconds. Maybe, Naughty Billo could turn out to be the peppy number that grows on you, eventually, if not at first.

Phillauri, slated for a release on 24 March, is set in two lifetimes. The film’s trailer revealed Anushka plays the role of ghost bride Shashi in it. The clip got rave reviews from celebs and viewers alike, making the movie one of the highly anticipated ones of this year. This is Anushka’s second production after the 2015 release NH10.
