On Arijit Singh's birthday, Armaan Malik mentions how he's still in awe of Channa Mereya like all of us

Armaan Malik posted a heartfelt message for Arijit Singh in which he said that Channa Mereya has a special place in his heart

Arijit Singh came into limelight with his song Tum Hi Ho from Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Aashiqui 2. Since then, the singer became the ‘in’ romantic voice in the Indian film industry. Every second Bollywood film has a song helmed by the singer who was also a part of popular reality TV show — Fame Gurukul.

Arijit has turned 30 today and while wishes are pouring from all the corners, his colleague from the industry, Armaan Malik posted a special birthday message for the Tum Hi Ho singer. In his heartfelt post written on Facebook, Armaan mentioned how he feels completely swoon away by the singing prowess of Arijit. He also took a moment to acknowledge Arijit’s song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and said that Channa Mereya has a special place in his heart. Here’s an excerpt from the post:

“A heartfelt message to a person I really admire especially on his birthday. You made us all first shocked .. because we were NOT READY for you or for the talent you possessed. When I first heard Tum Hi Ho play on YouTube, I understood this is something which is not earthly, it’s heavenly”.

With your newer songs you showed your different colours.. but along with that we also realised that you had already sung songs like Raabta & Phir Mohabbat before Aashiqui 2 had even happened.”

On the work front, Arijit’s song titled Ik Vaari from Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta has released recently. Check it out here:
