Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur’s OK Jaanu is doing pretty well at the box office on the second day of its release. The movie is getting mixed reviews from the audience, but Shraddha-Aditya’s chemistry is being liked by all. In fact, the chemistry will remind you of their Aashiqui days.
Despite being in the competition with Deepika Padukone’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Haraamkhor, the movie is doing really well. Also, not to forget Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which is still ruling the box office like a boss.
OK Jaanu did a business of Rs 4.08 crore on Friday and Rs 4.90 crore on Saturday, making a total of Rs 8.98 crore, which will gradually shoot up in the coming days.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter on Sunday and revealed how the film is doing on weekend. He wrote:
#OkJaanu Fri 4.08 cr, Sat 4.90 cr. Total: ₹ 8.98 cr. India biz.

Ok Jaanu is a Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil blockbuster O Kadhal Kanmani and deals with the subject of live-in relationships. Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur’s chemistry is simply amazing and you will be taken back to their Aashiqui days. Written by Gulzar and music by AR Rahman, songs are the USP of this film.
Since the movie is a remake, it is undoubtedly being compared with the original one in terms of screenplay and performances. But, with OK Jaanu making its way to the top slowly, we wish the movie emerges as a winner at the box office.
And after a getting a decent opening at the box-office, it would be interesting to see if this love saga would be able to create the same magic as that of O Kadhal Kanmani.
