Akshay’s “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” is reportedly inspired by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The film’s poster was launched on social media on Thursday.
The actor had tweeted that the film is an “unusual love story”.
“Tayyar ho jayye Swachch Azaadi ke liye,” added the actor, who features in the movie with actress Bhumi Pednekar.
Akshay’s upcoming movie is set to release in 11 August which is clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s release scheduled on the same date at the Box Office. However, SRK and Anushka Sharma’s film is directed by Imtiaz Ali and is yet untitled.
Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha touches the topic of sanitation and defecation. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
