Noor audience review: Sonakshi Sinha's film is fresh, vibrant and needs no hero

After surprising everyone with her performance in Force 2, Sonakshi Sinha has essayed the role of a journalist in Noor. And as far as the public response is to be believed, it seems to have struck the right chord as they minced no words in praising the actor. Taking to their social media platform, they not only praised the movie but also applauded her role as a journalist.

Based on Saba Imtiaz’s novel KarachiYou’re Killing Me!,  Noor narrates Sonakshi’s struggles in professional and personal life in Mumbai. She is willing to cover a serious issue, but her boss assigns her celebrity interviews. Directed by Sunhil Sippy, it also has Purab Kohli and Kanan Gill in pivotal roles.

Apart from its plot, the film will also witness Sonakshi grooving to the track of Gulabi Aankhen, which has won a lot of praises. The song is a re-created version of the famous old song from 1970 film The Train, which featured Rajesh Khanna and Nanda.

Noor released alongside Raveena Tandon’s Maatr. So, it will be interesting to watch who wins the box office battle. Sonakshi will also be seen in Ittefaq, in which she has been paired opposite Sidharth Malhotra.
