Major throwback: Watch Bappi Lahiri, Anuradha Paudwal recording India's first computerised song, Tamma Tamma

Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal recording the original Tamma Tamma song will take you way back into the 90s. You can't miss this!

The brand new version of 90s hit number Tamma Tamma became an instant hit with the masses soon after it launched.  Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are pairing on-screen for the third time in Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film has been the talking topic of tabloids, and its song Tamma Tamma Again is making the most to the headlines. The song, a  recreation of the 90’s hit number of the same name, became a rage when it was released a few days ago.

However, turns out the recording of the original song was not as easy as it might have been while recording the remix version. Apparently, the original Tamma Tamma was India’s first song to be recorded on a computer. You can see the artists along with the lead singers lending their voice to this epic number backed by the mesmerising background score. This classic video will basically take you back to the Tamma Tamma days and give you a glimpse of what actually went into making the original song. And it’s a gem!

Watch it yourself:

Recently, the makers of the Varun Dhawan and Alia bhatt starrer, Badrinath Ki Dulhania released a behind-the-scenes video that tells all about the effort that went into the making of the new version. The song was choreographed by Bosco and he told all that he kept in mind during the filming. He said Tamma Tamma Again is a tribute to the original song. The video also shows the relentless rehearsals the actors did to perfect the steps. During the video, when Varun Dhawan addressed Alia to say she was stepping into Madhuri Dixit’s shoes, the latter was quick to deny it. Alia said she would never think of doing so.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the second installment of the rom-com series. Produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, the film will release on 10 March.
