Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has been into the news recently because of his autobiography, is back into the headlines. But this time, it’s not his book, but a photo that he posted with Hollywood star George Clooney on micro-blogging website Twitter, which became a talking topic. The Bollywood filmmaker met the Hollywood star at The World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland.
George Clooney and wife Amal—a lawyer specializing in human rights—were in Davos, where they reportedly met refugees from the war-torn Syria to hear their stories of what they had been through. The star couple also attended an influential Women of Impact dinner hosted by publisher Tina Brown there itself.
A woman of substance and someone who knows to voice her opinion for things that matter, Amal is included in the list of the world’s 122 “young, tech-savvy, civic-minded innovators” by the World Economic Forum. Her name comes along with scientists, government leaders, and social activists under the age of 40.
The Bollywood celebrity Karan Johar flew out of the country on Monday after launching his book in the morning. His memoir has been co-authored by Poonam Saxena.
