Kaabil box office collection Day 13: Hrithik Roshan starrer continues its stupendous run

Hrtihik Roshan-starrer Kaabil is doing reasonably well at the box office despite facing stiff competition from Raees

Those who had written off Hrithik Roshan-starrer Kaabil before its release, will be forced to eat their words. The revenge drama is still going strong at the box office and netted Rs 3 crore on its 13th day. So far, the Sanjay Gupta starrer has raked in a whopping amount of Rs 121.11 crore so far.

Released on 25 January, the film had earned Rs 11.88 crore at the box office. Revolving around a blind couple played by Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam, the thriller had clashed with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees which has now garnered a staggering Rs 259 crore.

The Box Office reception of both Kaabiand Raees is a testimony that clashes don’t necessarily spell doom at the ticket counters. Of course, the numbers would have been more if the movies got solo releases, but the collections aren’t that bad after all.

Raees and Kaabil, both made way to the coveted Rs 100 crore club, being the first two Bollywood films of 2017 to do so.

Hrithik Roshan’s performance in the film made him the cynosure of many people. He perfectly captured the nuances of a visually impaired man and did justice to his role. Not only Hrithik, Yami Gautam too was appreciated for her performance. Critics said that she held her own despite sharing screen space with Hrithik, something which was commendable.

Till Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 hits theatres this Friday, Kaabil will continue its dream run. It won’t be wrong to expect that by 10 February, Kaabil will add another Rs 3-5 crore to its collection.
