Judwaa 2 Audience Review: Varun Dhawan perfectly steps into Salman Khan's shoes

Varun Dhawan's Judwaa 2 hit the screens today and the movie has been hailed as an out and out entertainer by viewers.

With the release of Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2, the wait for an entertaining slapstick comedy has come to an end. Released on approx 3200 screens in India, the film seems to have struck the right chord with the audience. The film is getting a good response from the moviegoers. After watching the first day-first show, they heaped praises for the power-packed performances of the lead actors on Twitter. They not only accepted Varun stepping in the shoes of Salman Khan but also lauded his brilliant acting skills. They also loved the actors’ comic timing in the film. Varun, who has tried to diversify his career by acting in films like Badlapur, Student of the Year and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, has once again proved his acting mettle with the out and out comedy, Judwaa 2.

While some, after catching the early morning shows of the film, talked about Varun Dhawan’s raucous comic timing, other appreciated the actor for his high-octane action sequences. Sharing his views after watching Judwaa 2 one of the users wrote: “Rare to see people talk about acting skills in potboilers like Judwaa 2 and Varun has achieved it like a Raja. This one is a big winner.”

Praising him, some of the viewers also said that he had done as brilliant a job as Salman Khan and also referred him as ‘the emerging superstar of Bollywood’.

Judwaa 2, which is directed by Varun’s father David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, features the lead actor in a double role. With the film, he has brought back to celluloid the iconic characters of Raja and Prem, portrayed by Salman Khan in Judwaa back in 1997. Apart from the Badlapur actor, the film also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. The film has been presented by Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
