Internet has proven that SS Rajamouli's Baahubali is inspired by Disney's The Lion King. Here's how

People on internet are busy proving how Baahubali series is inspired from Disney's The Lion King. These pictures will force you give it a thought

Baahubali 2 released and created history. In fact, it’s mission of making new Box Office records and breaking the existing ones seems unstoppable. If you have watched the film, you would know how director SS Rajamouli has presented Baahubali: The Conclusion as a concoction of Mahabharata and Ramayana. But, wait, some people on social media have found another very strong reference in the Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer.

No doubt that the film has been praised by one and all for its VFX, grandeur, storytelling and some strong performances. But, Twitter is also of an opinion that the film finds a few uncanny similarities with Disney film, The Lion King. Movie goers who have watched both the films now are skeptical whether the makers took some inspiration from The Lion King while making Baahubali or not?

Even the epic scene of Sivagami holding baby Mahendra Baahubali high announcing him as the next king of Mahishmati seems copied from this one:

Not just scenes, the characterisation and the story-line appeared to have something to do with the Disney film. Like, in both the films, the main characters are raised by the families they don’t belong to by blood. Also, the villains in both the films have a scar at exact same place on the face — around the eye. Check these out:

Whether Baahubali series is inspired from some other film or not is secondary now, because the kind of success this film has registered just deserves claps and accolades. The story of Baahubali series is written by KV Vijendra Prasad, father of Rajamouli. It was being rumoured that Baahubali 3 is in pipeline and the director has confirmed the same, but recently he took to Twitter to indirectly announce that his responsibility with the entire Baahubali series has ended with the promotion of the film in London.
