How Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan behave on set? Nawazuddin Siddiqui spills the beans

Nawazuddin Siddiqui who has worked with both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, revealed an interesting thing about their working style

After having played an antagonist in Salman Khan-starrer Kick and a friendly Pakistani journalist helping Khan in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will rub shoulders with Shah Rukh Khan in upcoming film Raees. He plays an honest cop who takes on the bootlegger-turned-don played by SRK in the flick which is scheduled to hit the theatres on 25 January.

After rising to fame with exceptional performances in Kahaani and Gangs of Wasseypur, Siddiqui has come a long way since then. He has also won accolades for his roles in mainstream commercial films as well. Having worked with both the Khans, the actor in an interview to All India Bakchod (AIB) had something interesting to reveal about both the superstars.

While working with Shah Rukh, I felt as if I am working with an actor. Since he has done quite a lot of theatre. He will give as many retakes until the director gets the perfect shot. But bhai (Salman) will only do a scene in a single take and not after that.

It indeed speaks volumes about the working style of both the Khans, who are likely to share screen space in Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight. As a far as the interview is concerned, Nawazuddin also spoke on the stark difference in audience response to independent and commercial cinema. He wittingly remarked:

My mother did not like Gangs of Wasseypur, but Kahaani is her favourite films of mine. The reason is that I was decently dressed in the film. I remember when we were shooting for GOW in Varanasi, local boys had gathered at the location. One of the boys who looked worse than me, spit in contempt when he heard I was the hero of the film.

During the interview, Nawazuddin also spoke on his upcoming film Haraamkhor, which hits the theatres on January 13. The film centers around the romantic relationship between a teacher and his female student. The Shlok Sharma directorial venture had run into trouble with the Censor board banning it. Last December, the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal not only lifted the ban, but also cleared the film with an U/A certificate.
