Here's why Aamir Khan turned down Rajinikanth's role in 2.0

Aamir Khan has revealed Rajinikanth wanted him to play the protagonist in 2.0 but the former had an extremely valid reason for refusing the offer

Ever since Shankar announced 2.o, which is Robot’s sequel, many reports stated that Aamir Khan was first approached to play the antagonist role (which has now gone to Akshay Kumar). Apparently, only part of this rumour was true. Shankar did approach Aamir for 2.0, but for the lead role but Aamir, despite knowing that this could be one of the biggest hits of 2018, declined the offer.

Recently in an interview, Aamir revealed what prompted him to say no to Shankar’s 400 crore project. The actor while explaining why he refused even Rajnikanth’s request, said:

Aamir, we absolutely agree with you on this. After seeing Rajinikanth in the 2010 release Enthiran (Robot), it is difficult to imagine anyone else in the role.
