Prepping for a Holi party? Here are some songs that you need to play now!

Holi is almost here and most of the youth is planning their holi parties. While the way we celebrate Holi has transformed over the years, what has remained constant is a lot of dancing after all the bhaang or even without it, and when it comes to bringing people on the floor no music works better than Bollywood music. On that note, we bring you a list of ten must play Bollywood numbers that will have all those invited to your Holi party tapping their feel and bringing their thumkas to the dance floor in no time.

Rang Barse: No Holi playlist is complete without this dance number from Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha starrer ‘Silsila’. The stars in the movie had a fun time dancing in this one and since then there must not have been one time when this song plays and does not manage to bring people on the dance floor. And if you do not really dig retro Bollywood numbers, this one also has one too many feet-tapping remixes out there.

Balam Pichkari: Though this one could make people dance even if it’s not Holi, people might just like your party a little less if this does not get played. The dance number from Deepika Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ has the characters playing the kind of Holi we must all have wanted to at one point in time. Vishal Dadlani and Shalmali Kholgade’s voice add a lot more fervour to the number.

Do Me A Favour Let’s Play Holi: Another Holi song from the movie ‘Waqt: The Race Against Time’ starring Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra has all the components that make it the perfect dance number. Dhol and pichkaris galore, the song will be a perfect one for your party.

Hori Khele Raghuveera: This song from Hema Malini-Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Baghban’ is a song that can bring all the generations on the dance floor. It’s got the beats and lyrics that would make your Holi a lot more lovely.

Ang Se Ang Lagaana Sajan: From the movie that catapulted SRK to fame this one has Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla playing Holi. This number from ‘Darr’ has lyrics that one could do a full-fledged choreography as well.

Chhaan Ke Mohalla: From the movie ‘Action Replayy’ this one has a woman at the centre of a Holi song, which is still quite rare in Bollywood. Considering the fact that this has Aishwarya Rai showing off all her dance moves, you could even pick a few from her for your dance.

Holi Ke Din Dil Khil Jaate Hai: From the movie that had ‘Holi kab hai, kab hai Holi?’, this number stars Hema Malini who is one of the best dancers the industry has ever seen. This number from Sholay will have you dancing in no time.

Go Pagal: A newer entry in the list, this one is from Jolly LLB 2 and is not your typical Holi number with dhol. It mixes modern-day electro music with Bollywood beats. Now, that’s some feet-tapping music isn’t it?

Aaj Na Chhodenge Tujhe: With this one, Madhuri Dixit just entered the list. From Aamir Khan-Madhuri Dixit starrer movie ‘Dil’, this one has been playing at Holi parties since times immemorial and is here to stay.

Jai Jai Shiv Shankar: Though Mumtaz and Rajesh Khanna are not playing Holi in this one, they do have a lot of bhaang to themselves and are dancing all they can. The beats in this song from ‘Aap Ki Kasam’ could give any modern day dance number a run for their money.
