Faltu News: Shruti Haasan is an old-school romantic. What's the big deal?

Shruti Haasan claims she is an old-school romantic, and the present tech-savvy generation lacks the romance that existed in the olden days.

Shruti Hassan believes she is an old-school lover, and feels that such kind of romance is nowhere to be seen in the present internet savvy generation. Really? The actor, who was last seen in Rocky Handsome opposite John Abraham, recalled a conversation with his dad Kamal Haasan over the subject of romance. The 30-year-old actor told PTI:

I remember the Nokia phones, the SMSes. There was the landline and the romance was that the guy calls you and you’re hoping your mom shouldn’t answer. I don’t think this generation has that and it is sad

The actor will be seen in Behen Hogi Teri alongside Gautam Gulati and Rajkummar Rao. The film has been directed by Ajay Pannalal. Adding further, Shruti said that the film shows a kind of romance which is important to revisit.

“I love those times we had. My idea of romance is pretty old school. I loved that element in Behen Hogi Teri. The freshness and simplicity is beautiful in this film. I love romantic comedies. When I am at home and if I want to watch something, I would probably watch a romantic comedy. Surprisingly, I’ve never been offered rom-coms,” she added further.Well Shruti, we do have respect for the lovers of the previous generation. But do you mean to say that true love does not exist today?

InUth strongly feels just because we do not belong to the old generation, it does not mean we are un-romantic. True love does not differ across generations and is all about loving and caring for each other. So, Ramaiya Vastaviya actor’s statement does not make any sense at all.  After all, all your personal conversations aren’t newsworthy at all.
