Deepika Padukone is known for being a true professional. But do you know she used to bunk her classes like any normal student? A Quora user claiming to be her former classmate made some interesting revelations about the Piku actor dating back to their school days.
The answer was to a question posted — How is Deepika Padukone as a person in real life?
“She was my classmate at Mount Carmel College for 6 months before she moved to Bombay for OSO. She used to keep bunking classes due to her professional commitments- badminton and modelling.”
The user further added that Deepika had a lot of male admirers.
“I always felt she was quiet and well-mannered. Sitting on the last bench, not very studious, but a sweet girl. That doesn’t mean she didn’t have fun! She had a lot of male attention, but then all MCC girls got a lot of male attention- guys would flock outside the gates of the college.”
Deepika is now an international star, having made her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage. As a result, there is no dearth of fans who want to know about her beyond the films.
Deepika made her mega Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan’s 2007 directorial Om Shanti Om. The film was a runaway success and the dimpled lass went on to win her Filmfare Award for Best Debut (Female). And then, there was no looking back for her.
Deepika will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati, which will hit the theatres towards the end of this year. She will be sharing the screen space with Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. It will be her third collaboration with the director, having earlier worked in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
