Dangal Box Office collection: Raees is nowhere close to what Aamir Khan film had achieved in 6 days

Despite the big releases like Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, Aamir Khan’s Dangal is still way ahead of both the films. After making and breaking all the box office records, Dangal successfully completed its one-month box office journey on January 23.

In week 6 of its release, the movie did a business of Rs 28 lakhs on Friday, Rs 41 lakhs on Saturday and Rs 50 lakhs on Sunday, minting a total of Rs 385.06 crore so far.

The movie is still going strong at the box office and is all set to cross Rs 400 crore mark in the coming weeks. Not only domestically, but the film has also set the international market on fire.

As compared to Raees and KaabilDangal crossed Rs 100 crore mark in just 3 days of its release and is still giving a tough fight to these two big films as far as box office figures are concerned.

The movie was released in over 5000 screens worldwide, including 4300 in India and 1000 overseas. Here’s a look at the records made by Dangal at the box office in past one month:

  • Day 3: Rs 100 crore
  • Day 5: Rs 150 crore
  • Day 8: Rs 200 crore
  • Day 10: Rs 250 crore
  • Day 13: Rs 300 crore
  • Day 19: Rs 350 crore
  • Day 29: Rs 375 crore

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal marks Aamir’s return to the silver screen after a gap of two years. The film is a biopic of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trains his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. Besides Khan, the film features Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra.
