Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania will be releasing this Friday. While movie goers are yet to give this Shashank Khaitan directorial a verdict, celebs have already given it a thumbs up. Alia and Varun held a special screening for their close friends and family and mostly all of them loved it. The screening was attended by the film’s producer Karan Johar, Alia’s parents Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan and Varun Dhawan’s rumoured girlfriend Natasha Dalal.
After the screening, Natasha told media the film was very nice. Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan said Varun and Ali were comfortable around each other and it was really amazing to see them together. Mahesh Bhatt too echoed the thoughts of her wife and praised the film’s team on Twitter.
Set in the small town of Jhansi, the film tells the story of Badrinath Bansal who falls in love with Vaidehi Trivedi, who hails from Kota. The trailer of the film amassed huge appreciation and songs have been equally popular. The film features the much talked about reprised version of Tamma Tamma, from the film Thanedaar. The title track Badri Ki Dulhania and the song Aashiq Surrender Hua, are peppy and are being loved by cine goers. The film also features a romantic number Humsafar and a sad song Roke Na Ruke.
The stars of the film Varun and Alia enjoyed every bit of shooting. Speaking about the character Badri, Varun recently said the character is not at all similar to him. He said the credit goes to the director Shashank who held his hand throughout the movie and made it possible. He said since the character was from small town, Varun had to keep his romance and emotions in check during the process.
Considering the amount of effort put in the movie and the reactions from celebs, it won’t be wrong to expect that Badrinath Ki Dulhania would do well at the Box Office.
