The youngest member of SS Rajamouli's movie Bahubali was only 18 days old during the shoot. Here is everything you need to know about her

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali is one of the few movies that made almost everyone its fan. The grandeur of the movie left everyone mesmerised and set new benchmarks in Indian cinema. The entire cast of the movie put in a lot of effort to make it truly spectacular and their hard work paid off. However, amid the starry cast, there was one member who you might have missed while watching the movie.

In one of the most striking sequences of both Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, Queen mother Sivagami can be seen protecting a newborn baby. The child is Amrendra Baahubali’s son Mahendra Baahubali and the rightful heir to the throne of Mahishmati.

But do you know the kid who played the role of baby Mahendra Bahubali is a girl by the name of Akshitha? Hailing from Nileshwaram, Kalady, in central Kerala, Akshitha was only 18 days old when she acted in the movie. Akshitha’s father worked as a production executive for the movie.  So when art director Sabu Cyril and SS Rajamouli were looking for an infant for the important scene they found Akshitha. She shot for five days for the movie.

But now Akshitha is a big girl. Reports have it she is around three years old now. When she was shown the movie, her reaction was “That’s my film,” something that a leading daily reported. Well, Baahubali has definitely made Akshitha a star.

Baahubali: The Conclusion is making all the right noises. The movie has taken Box Office by storm and is said to have earned Rs 800 crore worldwide. The story of a rivalry between cousins Amrendra Baahubali (Prabhas) and Bhallala Deva (Rana Daggubati) wowed viewers. The VFX and the cinematic experience that Baahubali delivered have made everyone proud of SS Rajamouli. The director has really redefined Indian cinema.
