Kabir Khan and Salman Khan have become synonymous with success over the years and can buffs hoped the two would repeat history this time around as well. So while Tubelight was undoubtedly one of the biggest headline makers yesterday, Kabir Khan and Salman Khan chose different ways to spend their big day.
A report in a leading daily revealed how Kabir Khan spent his day yesterday. Kabir Khan told the daily he liked going to cinemas and understand the psyche of viewers. The director said he didn’t read reviews because there are so many of them but paid heed to social media reactions. Kabir Khan also added he would have taken Salman Khan to theatres but the superstar got mobbed everywhere, making it a far-sighted dream.
While Kabir Khan believes in going out to get a first-hand experience about his films’s reception, Salman Khan begs to differ. The 51-year-old superstar said he didn’t panic after getting negative reactions and always trusted the script. “You have to stand by the film and be confident about it from the day you sign it. My big concern is that no one should lose money. Breaking records is the best thing for stars, government, cinemas, and movie-goers. But if that doesn’t happen then no one should suffer a loss, that’s what plays on my mind,” Salman Khan was quoted by a daily.
Salman Khan also said at an event yesterday that he knew Tubelight would be a hit despite poor reviews. He said the movie is quite emotional and it will receive respect and love from viewers.
Tubelight also featured Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu and Matin Rey Tangu in pivotal roles.
