Ajay Devgn halts shooting of Baadshaho to meet ailing mother

Ajay Devgn stopped the shooting of his movie Baadshaho in Jodhpur and rushed to Mumbai after he learnt that his mother has been admitted to ICU

Ajay Devgn halted the shoot of his upcoming movie Baadshaho in Jodhpur abruptly since his mother fell ill, last week. Reports in the media have it that Ajay’s mother Veena Devgn was diagnosed with chest congestion and water had accumulated in her lungs. Mrs Devgn was rushed to hospital on Saturday and is said to be currently recuperating in the ICU.

When the Shivaay star learnt about the ailing condition of his mother he hurriedly flew back to Mumbai.  It is said that the actor had been in hospital for two days. Ajay flew back to Delhi and from there to Jodhpur to resume shooting. But unfortunately, Ajay’s mother suffered a relapse and has been admitted to another hospital where she is recovering.

The action thriller Baadshaaho stars Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Ileana D’Cruz and Vidyut Jammwal in the lead roles. The principal photography of the film began in August 2016. The film is helmed by Milan Luthria and is Ajay’s fourth collaboration with the director after Kachche Dhaage (1999), Chori Chori (2003) and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai (2010). This is also Ajay Devgn’s fourth movie with Emraan Hashmi, the previous ones being Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Dil Toh Bacha Hai jJi and Power.

A few days ago, Baadshaaho made it to headlines when Ajay Devgn agreed to meet a fan in Jodhpur. The fan named Shamshad had actually threatened suicide if he wouldn’t meet Ajay Devgn. Ajay’s spokesperson said the Shivaay actor was concerned and didn’t  want the youngster to harm himself. Ajay was in constant touch with the authorities who facilitated the meeting.
