Alok Nath aka Babu Ji is our favourite daddy in the Indian entertainment industry. It’s more than a decade now that he has been showering his aashirwaad on the both big and small screen as the most adored father figure. And it’s time to wish him back as Babu Ji celebrates his 61st birthday today, July 10.

The veteran actor has featured in more than 200 films and some of the hit daily soaps on television. But, the turning point in his career came when the sanskaari jokes on his name went viral. Social media got flooded with jokes and memes based on sanskaari characters played by him.

Now knows as global babuji, Alok Nath started acting at the age of 20. Since then, it was no looking back for him. He has played the perfect father figure in films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Vivah, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Taal, Pardes and more. His familial talents were not restricted to the silver screen only. He also did television shows like Rishte-Naate, Rishtey, Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani, Ghar Ek Sapnaa, Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai, Mere Rang Mein Rangnewali, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai among others.
