5 reasons why Hrithik Roshan is a perfect match to play Lord Shiva in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next

Hrithik Roshan is rumoured to be essaying the role of Lord Shiva in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next. And he is the perfect choice for the film, check these out

Hrithik Roshan will be reportedly essaying the role of Lord Shiva in his next film. Based on Immortals of Meluha written by Amish (the bestselling author prefers to be called by his first name instead of Amish Tripathi), the film is likely to be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Earlier, it was reported that filmmaker Karan Johar has bought rights of the book but later opted out, as he doesn’t want to find himself in any controversy on making a film on Hindu Gods. Soon after Johar opted out, it has been reported that Bhansali, who has earlier worked with Hrithik in Guzaarish wants to make the film.

The Immortals of Meluha is the first novel of the Shiva trilogy series penned by Amish. It is followed by The Secret of the Nagas and The Oath of the Vayuputras. It chronicles the origins of Lord Shiva and how he came to rule over Meluha and marry Goddess Parvati.

Though the news of Hrithik playing the role of Lord Shiva has not been officially confirmed yet, we believe that he is a perfect match for the role. Here’s why:

Chiseled Body: Hrithik Roshan’s perfect physique is one of the most important reasons behind him bagging the role. The actor is neither too beefed up nor too toned, and his facial expressions will perfectly compliment the look of Shiva.

His display of anger is the best on screen: If you remember Hrithik’s angry avatar in his past films like Jodhaa Akbar and Agneepath, you might have noticed that how good he emotes. It is very important for an actor to bring in Lord Shiva’s fury on the silver screen. Going by the actor’s filmography, we bet no one could be a better choice for the role!

Hrithik and Bhansali make a wonderful actor-director combination: Bhansali’s film Guzaarish with Bhansali earned accolades for the actor in which he essayed the role of a paralysed man. The film narrates the story of a magician-turned-Radio jockey who files a petition in court seeking permission to end his life. So, if we have to go by the latest report, it will be interesting to watch the duo make the flick a delightful watch.

Hrithik’s preparation is always on point: Known for experimenting with his roles, the actor never leaves his audience disappointed. Be it a period drama or a proper science fiction film, Hrithik has always delivered his best. His preparation for the roles is always on point. The 43-year-old gets right into the skin of his character and impresses everyone. So we believe with his role as Lord Shiva, the Kaabil actor will not mind going that extra mile.
