Bigg Boss 11: Not just Dhinchak Pooja, our list of contestants include Kanhaiya Kumar, Bobby Deol and Shama Sikander

Bigg Boss 11 will hit the TV screens this September. Here's our list of suggested contestants who can be a part of the reality show

The countdown for the 11th season of popular reality TV show Bigg Boss has already begun. The registration process for the non-celebrities to be a part of the show has already been opened. As of now, YouTube sensation Dhinchak Pooja and TV actress Nia Sharma are rumoured to be participating in the show. Bigg Boss comprises participants from different backgrounds, who have varied temperaments. Be it Swami Om, Dolly Bindra, Kamaal R Khan or Priyanka Jagga, there have been contestants who have grabbed the headlines for both right and wrong reasons.  Here are the 10 contestants we thought whose presence can add more spice to the one-hour long drama that unfolds on our TV screens at the   prime time beginning September.

Bobby Deol: His last appearance was alongside elder sibling Sunny Deol and father Dharmendra in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. Since then, Deol has been out of action. In January, the 48-year-old actor was trolled on being reportedly booed while donning the role of a DJ at a Delhi pub. Later, Bobby clarified that he was present in the pub as a celebrity guest. It would be nice for his fans to see their favourite actor take up the offer if approached by the makers of Bigg Boss.

Pulkit Samrat: Another prominent Bollywood celebrity who should be a part of the show’s 11th season is Pulkit Samrat. Having made his debut in 2012 with Bittoo Boss, he has acted in films like Fukrey, Sanam Re, Junooniyat and others. However, he has not tasted much success at the Box Office, Mind you, he is the estranged husband of Shweta Rohira, Salman Khan’s rakhi sister. If Samrat is roped in the show, we can expect him to spill some beans over his married life and alleged relationship with Yami Gautam.

Shama Sikander: She shot to prominence with her role of an aspiring filmmaker in daily soap Yeh Meri Life Hai. Later, Shama Sikander played an antagonist in popular serial Baal Veer. In 2016, she created ripples when she portrayed a sex addict in a short film titled Sexaholic. In an interview to leading website, Shama revealed about her struggles in dealing with bipolar disorder and how she attempted suicide 5 years ago. Last year, she appeared on Vikram Bhatt’s web series Maaya.

Akriti Kakkar: Akriti Kakkar shot to limelight with songs like Saturday Saturday from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Iski Uski from 2 States. It would be really interesting to see a playback singer on the Bigg Boss show. We might get to hear her sing and entertain all of us.

Raghu Ram: He has enjoyed a successful career as a judge on reality show Roadies. Raghu Ram is known for his views on political and social issues. Often known for his angry outbursts, he will be an interesting person to watch out if he comes on board. After all, when you have troublemakers with the likes of Swami Om on the show, there is no better person than Ram to sort out the matters.

Kanhaiya Kumar: Former Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar shot to fame when he was arrested for sedition in the aftermath of a protest inside JNU campus on February 9 last year. He has been among the voices protesting against the Narendra Modi-led NDA government as well as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). A regular participant on TV debates, Kanhaiya could be among the participants on the reality show.

Shilpi Tewari: A former aide of union textiles minister Smriti Irani, it was Shilpi Tewari’s allegedly doctored video that led to Kanhaiya Kumar’s arrest last year. A known BJP supporter, Tewari’s presence might add more masala to the show that goes into its 11th year of broadcast. We might see some heated exchange of words between both the political activists.

Leander Paes: He is considered as one of the best doubles and mixed doubles players of all time. Paes won India a bronze with his doubles partner Mahesh Bhupathi in the 1996 Olympics. A stalwart like him will add more glamour on the show, and the makers will have no problems in ensuring that Bigg Boss 11 turns out to be a grand success.

Parthiv Patel: At the age of 17, he impressed everyone with his wicket-keeping abilities while donning the India colours. Huge expectations got the better of Parthiv Patel and he had to wait for a decade to make a comeback into the Indian cricket team. Having led Gujarat to its first Ranji Trophy title, the 32-year-old southpaw earned a Test recall during the home series against England. Although he impressed with the bat, Patel lost his spot to wicketkeeping mainstay Wriddhiman Saha. He will be an interesting participant to watch out on Bigg Boss.

Mini Mathur: A known television presenter, Mini Mathur has been out of action in recent times. Wife of filmmaker Kabir Khan, she is among the participants we would love to watch in Bigg Boss.
