Badrinath Ki Dulhania music review: Here's why the album of Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer is noisy and disappointing

The music of Badrinath Ki Dulhania featuring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt is out. Here's our review

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will share screen space in upcoming film Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The Dharma Productions venture directed by Shashank Khaitan chronicles a love story which blossoms in small-town India.

Varun plays cheesy Badrinath Bansal who falls in love with blunt Vaidehi Trivedi (Alia). The trailer has created a lot of buzz since it was unveiled. As far as the music of the film is concerned, I had expected it to be a firecracker. To my disappointment, it is sheer noise. The only solace was the modern version of Tamma Tamma song from 1990 action flick Thanedaar. Not done guys.

Here’s a music review of the romantic comedy which hits the theatres on 10 March.

Aashiq Surrender Hua: “Jo bhida tere naino se tanka, to aashiq surrender hua,” is the opening line from the song. We get a feeling that this song might have been sung by Badrinath to woo his ladylove. Composed by Amaal Malik and Komail, the number has been crooned by the music director duo and Shreya Ghoshal. Out of all the songs, this is the second-most peppy song in the film. Whether the romantic comedy does business at the box office or not, the song will be played in weddings and discotheques in coming time for sure.

InUth verdict: Well, you can listen to this song if you are a dance freak and like fast paced songs.

Badri Ki Dulhania (Title Track): This song does justice to the theme of the film, i.e. marriage. Penned by Shabbir Ahmed and composed by Tanishq Bagchi, the title track has been sung by Dev Negi, Neha Kakkar, Monali Thakur, Ikka Singh and Rajnigandha Shekhawat. What makes the song exciting is the dance moves by leading actors Varun and Alia.

InUth verdict: It is a peppy song best suited for marriage functions and parties. Don’t miss it.

Tamma Tamma Again: Madhuri Dixit won our hearts when she tapped her feet with Sanjay Dutt in the song Tamma Tamma 27 years ago. In Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Varun and Alia appear in the reprised version of the hit version. And after hearing it, it looked no less than a firecracker fizzling out. There was no need of putting rap by Badshah in the song originally sung by Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal. Seriously.

InUth verdict: All we can say about the song is- Disappointing.

Roke Na Ruke Naina:  Sorry to say, but it’s becoming an overdose of Arijit Singh. We know that he can make any song soulful with his lyrics. But this time, mazaa nahi aaya. Composed by Amaal Malik, the song fails to find a connect for the reasons unknown. Even the lyrics are too slow and sad.

InUth verdict: Honestly, this song is too unromantic. Hope Arijit thinks the same when he listens to it.

Humsafar: Sigh! In a disappointing album, we finally found a romantic track worth listening. The track penned, composed and sung by Akhil Sachdeva is soulful and it will transport you to another zone.

InUth verdict: When you are tired of crazily dancing on the peppy tracks of this album, simply plug in your earphones and relax.
