The magnum opus Baahubali 2 is in news for quite some time now and a new development about the film has got everyone excited. There are reports doing rounds of media that Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in for a cameo in the film. If true, this news is obviously grand as Baahubali 2 is one of the biggest films of Indian cinema.

While reports of SRK’s cameo are going strong, there might be some clarity about what he will play in the film. The 51-year-old superstar will feature in an interesting sequence along with characters Baahubali and Bhallaldeva. He is reported to be playing a peacemaker between these two cousins. In the magnum opus directed by SS Rajamouli, Prabhas plays the role of Baahubali and Rana Daggubati that of Bhallaladeva.

A source in the know told Mumbai Mirror: “The makers had approached South actors like Suriya and Mohanlal for a cameo in the Telugu film, which will be dubbed and released in Tamil and Hindi. But now it will be Shah Rukh who plays the character of a mediator between protagonist Prabhas and villain Rana Daggubati. It is an interesting sequence in the narrative

On a related note, there were various reports that Baahubali‘s teaser will be attached to Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. But that didn’t happen.

The budget of Baahubali 2 is said to be Rs 200 crore and the film is reported to have earned Rs 500 crore already by selling satellite rights etc. The sequel will carry the first instalment’s story and is anticipated by many cine goers.
