Ajay Devgn-starrer Baadshaho has become one of the first major films to have been granted a clearance from the censor board without any cut. The Milan Luthria directorial obtained a U/A certificate from the certification body. The film is set against the backdrop of 1975 Emergency and has breathtaking action sequences as well as a love making scene.
According to reports, the censor officials did not ask for a single scene or a dialogue to be snipped in the 2 hours 16-minute long film. A leading news website quoted the censor officials saying that the action scenes were filmed in the spirit of great fun. Well, if that is the case, it will be a matter of relief among the members of film fraternity who had a tough time getting their films cleared from the board headed by former chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani.
However, there were reports that a liplock between Ileana D’Cruz and Ajay Devgn along with a backless scene of the actress were trimmed as the makers did not want any trouble with the Censor Board. “At this point I don’t know where this story came from. We have definitely not made a porn film,” Milan Luthria had stated when asked about the issue.”“I don’t think anybody decides how we edit the film. This is a straightforward film and is not likely to get into any trouble,” he added further.
Baadshaho features Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’ Cruz, Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jammwal and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles. Set against the backdrop of 1975 Emergency, it revolves around six people who plan to rob a truck carrying royal treasure to Delhi.
