Aamir Khan is not the reason why Fatima Sana Sheikh bagged lead role in Thugs of Hindostan

Fatima's association with the film doesn't come as a surprise because of her equation with Aamir Khan. But it is not the only reason of her getting the film

Aamir Khan’s Dangal co-star Fatima Sana Sheikh has ben finalized to play the lead role in his upcoming film Thugs of Hindostan and the gorgeous lady is on cloud nine after the official announcement. While names like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Vaani Kapoor came up for the film in past many months, but at the end, it was Fatima who bagged the lead role.

While Fatima’s association with Thugs of Hindostan doesn’t come as a surprise because of her equation with Mr.Perfectionist, various stories started floating on the internet regarding the same. But her good connection with Aamir has nothing to do with her grabbing the role. Yes, you heard that right. If rumours are to be believed, then except Vaani and Fatima none of the actresses was keen on doing the film after they heard the fees of the film.

It is also being said Aditya Chopra was paying very nominal fees to the lead actress, while Aamir Khan is being paid a hefty amount for the film and finally it was only Vaani and Fatima, who agreed to be a part of Thugs of Hindostan. With Vaani being Adi’s choice and Fatima of Aamir’s, it was Mr.Perfectionist who convinced Aditya Chopra to finalize his Dangal co-star.

“The role of the girl is pivotal to the film so it was crucial for us to find the perfect fit. Through a rigorous round of auditions and action workshops, we found in Fatima a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer of the action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our film,” said director Vijay Krishna Acharya.

An adaptation of the 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug, the movie is slated for a 2018 Diwali release. The filming of Thugs of Hindostan will begin on June 1.
