Aamir Khan, or popularly known as Mr perfectionist, released the video of his terrific weight transformation. For a 50-year-old man, this wasn’t an easy task but he did it with full conviction just to be true to his craft. Khan is one of those actors who takes almost two years to bring a film out and he makes sure he justifies that period of time of being away from his fans, by giving out his best in every character. He never let his fans down in any form.
He has time and again proved his perfectionist streaks by going all out for every character that he plays and this time too, he impressed us with this recent workout video. A star of his caliber would think many times before taking such a big risk especially when it comes to health, but no one can stop this man when he is sure about his work.
In a recent event, Aamir claimed that it is unhealthy to put on and put off weight so quickly, but when you know the end result is going to be good then why not. The PK actor had gained almost 97 kgs for this role, due to which he did face some health problems. Here are 5 things he said during the interaction:
As I had put on so much weight in so less time, I was keeping a tab on my health. I made sure to have the blood test in every three weeks. It was all over the place the parameters, but they were not in the red zone. A lot of things went wrong, my cholesterol level went high and then even my breathing got affected. My doctor has warned me to not to try anything like this in future.”
During the transformation journey, I had a lot of injuries. From my ankle, back and shoulder to elbows, every part of my body was injured. However, none of these injuries made me stop from shooting, except the time when my back was injured. Though doctors asked me to rest for two months, I was back to work in two weeks. I used to take painkiller injections to shoot a few scenes.
When I was getting fat, I used to feel horrible to look myself in the mirror. However, I enjoyed putting on weight coz I ate everything I wanted. However, I panicked when it came to losing weight. I thought this time I won’t manage it and was worried. Later I though to myself the key to success was to take one step a day and forget about the end result.

Both my wife Kiran and my mom were worried about the transformation. But I knew that I will get into the shape and complete the shoot. Every Sunday, I used to have my measurements and then my dietitian was sent details about my weight and health.
I have even started smoking, I am quite stressed to see the final copy of the film.

Any man at his stage would give up very easily, but looks like giving up is not in his dictionary. There were people who also feared that this could be his last film and that he wouldn’t be able to do more films but he proved them wrong yet again.
His dedication towards his work is what keeps him going and delivering hits after hits. With every film he makes us believe that if one wants everything is possible but with a little bit of struggle.
