Also, she one badass lady. She is single and lives with her eight cats and her nephew. She asserts that she had nothing to do in her retirement and that a doctor’s job was not only a profession but a “way of life”. In fact, when people tell her that it was time to rest, she asks them, “Who will do the surgeries?”

“There are people I saved many years ago when nobody else wanted to perform an operation on them. And I did that and they are still alive and have grown up children,” she told Metro.

During the 68 years of her experience as a surgeon, Alla has travelled for over 30 years across Russia treating patients in need. How amazing is that? Today, she continues to work at the city hospital in Moscow. Opposed to what people might wonder, Alla still has steady hands but has to use a step-in to reach her patients because she is only 4’9.

Hats off, ma’am!
