This mother’s touching Facebook post thanking a group of teens who taught her autistic son skateboarding on his 5th birthday is going viral.
Kristen Braconi’s son Carter has high-functioning autism. According to Kristen she went to the park along with her son on his birthday, that is when some older boys showed up and offered to teach him how to use a mini-skateboard.
The mother says she was moved to tears when she saw them teaching him patiently.
The mother took to Facebook to share videos of the teens helping her son. “I can’t even begin to thank these kids for being so kind and showing him how wonderful people can be to complete strangers. I bought them all ice cream to say thank you but it wasn’t enough,” she said in her Facebook post.
The internet was quick to applaud these youngsters. Kristen’s post saw hundreds of likes and shares.
Her post also prompted the South Brunswick police to appeal on the social media to find the teens in order to reward them.

According to CNN, the teens were found and Braconi said  “We will be having a pizza party, possibly next week.”
