Man registers police complaint about his missing sandals, now cops have launched probe

Believe it or not, this man from Pune approached the police to register a complaint about his missing sandals. Guess the cost of the sandals

While a number of people across the country complain of police delaying to register their complaint, Pune rural police have proved otherwise. Pune rural police launched a probe to find the missing pair of sandal worth Rs 425 of a man named Vishal Kalekar.

The complainant, who is a resident of Rakshewadi in Khed tehsil of Pune approached the police on October 3 to file a complaint about his new pair of sandal that was stolen from outside his residence. Vishal insisted that the police takes the cognisance of the situation and lodge an FIR.

Surprisingly, the police did register a case of theft under section 379 of IPC against an unidentified person on the basis of Vishal’s complaint. The police have launched an investigation and are currently making efforts to find the culprit. No arrests have been made so far. 36-year-old Kalekar lives on the third floor of Palash Residency.

According to the complaint filed by Vishal, the incident took place in the wee hours of October 3 when an unidentified person entered the building and stole the new black sandals. Kalekar wasted no time and filed a complaint with the police.
