Vodafone offers unlimited 4G data for Rs 29 to counter Jio storm

To counter the growing popularity of Jio, Vodafone India is offering unlimited 3G/4G data for a period of five hours at night at a nominal price of Rs 29. Check out the details inside

In a bid to counter the growing popularity of newbie telecom operator Reliance Jio, which crossed the 112 million subscribers mark back in April, Vodafone India has introduced a new data pack for its postpaid users offering them unlimited data at a nominal price of Rs 29. As a part of Vodafone’s new SuperNight plan, postpaid users will get unlimited 3G/4G data for a period of five hours at night.

But there is a catch. The offer will be effective between 1 AM and 6 AM only. Additionally, the data rate for this pack varies with the circle. While the SuperNight pack available in New Delhi is priced at Rs 33, the pack starts at Rs 31 in Mumbai. So, if you are a night owl and you prefer downloading movies, songs etc at night, Vodafone’s new pack is the ideal one for you.

To activate the pack, all you have to do is dial *444*4# from your prepaid number. You can also find out more about all these interesting packs in the MyVodafone app or on Vodafone India website.

Vodafone’s new pack offer Internet service at a nominal price of Rs 6 per hour approximately as against Jio, which is offering the 1GB 4G data at a price of Rs 10 per day approximately.

Earlier this month, Vodafone India introduced a special pack for its customers in UP West and Uttarakhand. As a part of the Ramadan offer, the telecom giant offered unlimited voice and data plans to its 2G and 3G subscribers. While 2G users were being offered unlimited 2G data for Rs 5 for an hour, 3G subscribers were being offered unlimited 3G data starting at Rs 19 for one hour.
