Internet questioned the safety of Indian trains, and the Minister of Railways replied

If you’ve ever travelled by trains in India, you are a definitely a really strong and brave individual. We say this because the number of accidents Indian Railway has witnessed till now, with governments at the Centre changing and doing nothing about the sad state-of-affairs. So, a concerned Quora user put out a question for the fellow Quora users inquiring “What is the government doing to improve the safety of Indian Railways?” To his surprise and to the surprise of all those who follow Quora, out of the four answers on the thread one was that of the Indian Railways Minister, Piyush Goyal’s.

With general infrastructure in shambles and poor maintenance, railway journeys have mostly turn out to be an unpleasant experience. This Quora user wanted to know if the current government is taking any steps for the safety of the passengers and he wouldn’t have expected the Railway Minister answering his question. He ended his answer saying, “Lastly, Indian Railways have striven to establish a ‘zero accident’ railway system, and it has significantly brought down the number of fatalities under this Government. However, every life is precious and each life lost is one too many.”
