13 HBO Game of Thrones characters who look nothing like they do in GRR Martin’s books

Game of Thrones show-only fans would never understand how people who've read GRR Martin's books feel about the incorrect character representations in the show.

Game of Thrones is a show that most people across the show seem to absolutely adore. The complex ever-winding plot, all the blood and gore, and of course, the dragons! From day 1, Game of Thrones has had us on the edge of our seats with its intriguing character that continue to surprise us. However, that seems to be the case with just the show-only fans. People who have read George RR Martin’s book series, A Song of Ice and Fire, often take an objection with how the story unfolds and how the characters are represented in the HBO TV series.

It is just as hard to please book fans with a live-action adaptation as it is easy to butcher an iconic piece of literature (Ref: The Hobbit). Although book fans might never be completely happy, there were a few issues with Game of Thrones’ character representations which were hardly accurate. Most of the characters on the show have been aged up and made a lot prettier than they should be. If you were to take a look at Daario Naharis (#9 below), you’d think, “Why did Daenerys EVER tell him to take off his clothes?!”
