Samarawickrama’s brilliance in the field floors Virat Kohli, Delhi crowd! — WATCH

The game seems to be tilted towards the favour of the hosts and given it is Day 5, the Indian spinners could wreck havoc

Sadeera Samarawickrama almost pulled off a blinder but ended up stopping a certain boundary, which won the appreciation of the Indian captain Virat Kohli and the Delhi crowd. It was full-stretch from the youngster at deep mid-wicket. Samarawickrama is highly-rated in the Lankan domestic scene and now faith in him seems to be paying dividends. He could not hold on to the catch but saved a certain boundary.

The incident took place on Day 4 of the 3rd Test at Feroz Shah Kotla on Tuesday.

It was the elegant Rohit Sharma, who played a well-timed pull shot off a Suranga Lakmal bouncer. The ball whistled off the bat, but Samarawickrama produced a stunning full body length dive to attempt a catch. He nearly made the impossible happen. The incident took place off the second ball of the 47th over.
